Course Learning Outcome #3

“Negotiate your own writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of the genre, medium, and rhetorical situation”

All through the course we need to use six Rhetorical devices. You could find the six Rhetorical devices and their meaning under the Rhetorical devices tab.

When you are writing any sort of paper, you need to ensure your information could be clearly understood so that your audience believes what you’re saying. An individual would not believe your word if you don’t have any information or data to back up your point. As a writer you generally consider how to persuade the audience and gain the reader’s attention at the same time. When the writer starts to combine genre medium and rhetorical situation they tend to create a well-organized paper where it will reach a specific group.

Throughout the course we had 4 major assignments that came with various genres; a memo, a technical description, a lab report, and a technical proposal.
